The crazy reality show-obsessed parents, Richard and Mayumi Heene, may face felony charges and may have their children taken away by children services - which seems reasonable given their notably unstable home life.
Apparently police have been to the house twice in the past year, once for a possible domestic violence situation.
It's all very sad that a family has come to this. It's an interesting but somewhat dismal case study in what some people will do for the elusive 15 minutes of fame that appears so easily accessible nowadays. However, this attempt will likely end in severe consequences.
